ie 7 wont ler me log in this is happening on two differant computers I even turned off my firewall to try still does not log in screen comes up saying thank you for logging in but next screen I'm not logged in. Tried differant account logins none will log in but on other compueters works fine. Anyone have any suggestions?

I installed Firefox Explorer and I now can login ok.

we always recommend our users try firefox like above. Rarely problems. But we also recommend that with IE...that they add our site to their "trusted" list in internet options. This seems to help with a lot of IE issues.

In IE-
this would be like
Internet options
-Security
--Trusted Sites

Restart browser-

This has actually worked for many of our users, but its a pain to explain it all the time. And, it sometimes does not resolve the issue.

In addition there has been mention of setting session time in the site preferences for a bit.

I know the firefox will work, but we need to find out how to make the changes in the program so we don't have this problem. I have now ran into 4 four computers this morning that did ie 7 updates and now cannot log in. For what we are designing our site for (community for bands)we need simple for users. Anyone know why this is being caused and how we can correct it?

This is a major problem with XOOPS since( as far as the same prob with me) XOOPS 2.0.17.* began

its something that the XOOPS team have pretty much ignored , telling people to simply use FF isnt the right way to do this , IE is by far the most popular browser used

It really needs to be fixed pronto, yet everyone on XOOPS seems to shy away from it

Its not in the XOOPS 2.0.16.* versions, so its obviously something they have done to the higher versions
