I'm still trying out xoops, I have a friend who downloaded the program on his server so I could play with it before I switch from phpnuke. I LOVE IT, but one thing I noticed today. I set it to registration admin approval. In the preference page I put my email so the new registrations would come to me.
But they didn't. (I tested a few with my other email addys and usernames) I looked at one of my email addys and it said my registration was approved by admin. Admin is ME and I never got the email asking for approval.

Have you inadvertently removed yourself from the Webmasters group?

Not sure if that is possible given that you have access to the admin side of things, but worth a look in Admin>Edit User

my log in name for testing is admin and I see it in the webmaster group...
Now my friend downloaded the program onto his server and origianly had his email addy, but I changed it in the preference to mine. But it seems he still gets the new test registrations to approve.

Chicks,

The email will come from the Email options in the Admin preferences section. I know this may sound a little crazy, and forgive me if I'm assuming the wrong thing, but the email address in your profile could be different then your main email for the XOOPS site administration.

System email will come fromt he general preferences section, not the user profile, even if you are UID=1 (or admin).

Thats the only realistic thing I can see happening here.

@attoc

I'm not sure why you want to go through the hassle, but yes, it can be done via phpmyadmin. A search through the tables for pending requests will yeild the results your looking for. Although I can't say for sure what table it is, I would have to dig around for that, but it shouldn't be too hard to find.

On my installs to a local server, I have not gotten emails either. For that end of it, I have always gotten the emails when I set it up on the internet with sendmail/phpmail appropriately set up.
MMM...It tastes like chicken! ...

Stew,

I was lookin for it last nite in phpmyadmin, and I have found sumthing. I want to make sure if it is the right table for approved registration.

xoopos_users > level
with level = 0 for un-approved
level = 1 for approved
level = 5 for admin ?

Also, if there a way re-apply for activation key. Or a way to send registration email every other day (until the user registers himself). To my understanding an smtp would contine sending an email to a recipient if an error has occured.

My last question is, how can I see a list of registered - yet not approved - members without phpmyadmin.

Thanks
