I cannot see the modules in the administration panel after uploading them to its respective directory with CuteFTP.

I just can see the CBB 3.07, the XF Articles 0.99, and the default admin module.

If this ones are working right, why I cant see the others in the panel, even before installing them ??

Any idea to help?

Dunno

Assuming that you've put the modules into the modules directory, have you tried re-uploading them in case of a corrupt file or two?

Also, have you uploaded the correct directory from the .zip file. Some seem to have multiple sub-directories - you need the sub-directory with all the .php files in.

Sorry if this is teaching you to suck eggs........just trying to help.

Can you post a couple of screen-grabs - one of the server directory structure in Cute FTP (I use that - excellent!) and one of what you see in your Admin panel?

make sure you uploaded the correct folder - some of the modules come nested inside folders -

New users should always checkout the following:
1. Documentation - linked on the left. Specifically the administration manual
2. The FAQ section - linked on the left - specifically the sections on gloassry, beginners first steps, modules, blocks and themes. There are links to visual tutorials here.
3. The search function on the top right.
Please check also the read B4U post link below if you have problems.

@JAVesey:

Here are the screen captures:

1º the root folder ("monserrat"=root):
Resized Image
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2º the modules folder:
Resized Image
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3º the iMenu folder:
Resized Image
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4º another module folder:
Resized Image
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5º another more:
Resized Image
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6º another module:
Resized Image
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AND, what I get in the admin panel:
Resized Image
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PS: I currently use the 2.0.16 version,

@ jesnclas:

I use the right folder, I checked it, and of course I ve already read most part of the documentation docs, the FAQ´s section, even the tutorials on your web before start asking for help as a crazy guy. I´m simply desperate, cause I cant see any logical reason for this.

You could be right with your remark that the page is incomplete. I notice that you use a customised admin area. Perhaps you should try the default one and look whether the missing modules are appearing again.
Would be my first choice.

Success and grtz,

Ah. That reminds of a case in which the same happened to me with a fresh 2.0.16 install on my local machine. Modules just didn't appear in the admin section so couldn't be installed.
I deleted that install (was experimental).

I'll try if I can reproduce it later this day.
In the meantime perhaps someone with more technical knowledge than me can look into it.

Greetz,

Back again. Performed a fresh install of 2.0.16 locally.
Put some modules in the modules dir.
CBB 3.07 does not appear in modules admin.
News 1.44 does not appear.
PiCal 0.89 does not appear.
SmartFaq 1.08 B4 does not appear.
WF Channel 1.07 does also not appear.

Seems this problem can be reproduced, but I'm not a coder, so I'll have to give it out of hands.
What you could try is doing a fresh install of XOOPS 2.0.14, install some modules and then upgrade to 2.0.16. Perhaps you bypass the problem that way.

Grtz,
