A good feature for next versions of XOOPS is an option to comment in the user profile (http://www.site.com/userinfo.php?uid=123)

Something like "Comment about the member XYZ" like in this site:

http://www.vivaolinux.com.br/perfil/verPerfil.php?login=fabio

you know thats not a bad idea.

not sure how much work is involved, but its not a bad idea.

There are also dangers to having comments on a user profile.
They will be by nature personal and involve emotions, which can easy lead to hate messages, flamewars, trolling, etc. Also the things written in comments, may affect the privacy of the subject.

You may have a look at some social modules, like yoghurt, where I think this may be possible.
I hope every user has at least moderation and acceptation rights to the comments of his account.

yes, I too was thinking about flaming.
user administration is a must on a module like that.

ye, yogurt is ok, but you cannot add extra profile fields. (at least at the last version that I checked). and there were those bugs, when everyone could see "delete image" option on everyprofile.

does yogurt now support random fields?

it would be great if an import module could be made from XOOPS User Profile module to Yogurt, :[
