Could somebody please help me with the problem that I when I log in and click on a menu tab (such as admim menu), I am told I need to register and log in. This happens before any page I click on can load. I know its not a session time out because im not logged in long enough for this to be an issue. Cookies are enabled, the urls are correct and I have tryed repairing and clearing my session tables in phpmyadmin.
Help much appreciated!

Re: Logging me out

Please help us help you: have you done this?
Before posting please do a search in the XOOPS top right "Search" box using appropriate "keywords" and find out if the subject has been dealt with before. Also look through the FAQ’s, especially if you're unsure what search words to use.

I couldn’t find any related issues by searching what next?

Turn on debug:
To switch on debug, go to system admin-->preferences and then general settings. You will see a "Debug mode" field. Choose "PHP Debug". Then go to the page that has problems and copy and paste any error messages under php-debug messages in the template below.
When posting any debug messages please 'wrap' the message like this: Use the word 'code' in square brackrets [] and at the end put /code in square brackets.

There are two attachments to help you answer these questions. Please go to the read before you post link below and scroll to the attachments.

Remember this when you post
Please use an effective title for the post; this assists other users to answer you who have had a similar problem. Many users will not be attracted to a "please help me I have a problem" title. A relevant title also helps other users find solutions to their problems.

Posts like ‘I have a blank page’ will generally be ignored. Not because we don’t want to help, but because we can’t with such a small amount of information.

A full description of the issue:

I looked into the issue further and understand whats happening, but don't know why. Basicly the long code after the url when logged in, (e.g http://www.yourdomain.com/admin.php?PHPSESSID=8d55a948b0b789489e)
disappears when clicking on menu tabs, so the links are taking me to the chosen page without the code saying who I am etc. I can get to admin.php by copying the code in the address bar but have found no way of getting past the "This is your first time to enter the administration section. Press the button below to proceed."
How do i fix these links to remember my login?
Hope thats enought info.
Thanks.

Not sure about Mac, but I assume it is close to the same as linux, make sure that the cache folder is writable by the server. Some setips require chmod 777 for this.

could this be an issue with logging in to the site with a www. example.com address and having example.com defined as the XOOPS_URL .. So then the site wouldnt have cookies for your site.

try clicking the home button on the menu and then try logging in and going to the administration.
