i have so many members that have alot of notification msgs
that they haven't visit the site 4 more that 6 monthes

& it take big size of DB that make DB backup download take a lot of time

how could i clear this priv_msgs for certain members

Go to Admin Module:Private Messages: Prune Messages

If you go to the Modules Administration it should be there, I would think. It is on mine, and I am running PM version .1 on 2.2.3

Please note that this only appears on XOOPS 2.2.x

There is a module I've seen on www.frxoops.org suitable for XOOPS 2.0.x - but unfortunately it is in French only at the moment (i've been trying to translate it - but I'm not very good )

you might as well go to your database,
select xoops_notifications table tick all and delete ((not the table though..))
and the xoops_priv_msg table do the same you tick all and delete.
that is my maximum in database - drop-delete-import. nothing else.

dont blame me if you make anything wrong-

Back up your database before you play and then you can restore it if you do make a mistake.
