Hi

I would like to request a module which allows certain users of your XOOPS site create their own mini site within your larger site.

For example I would use it as my business has agents all around Australia and I would like to let them create their own site which their customers could then access.

Here is something similar to what I'm looking for:

http://www.actioncoaching.com/index.php?area=map_country&countrycode=AU&state=Queensland

and you can then click on any of the sites in the list to take you to their individual website:

Have you looked at User Pages? You can download it at: <a href="http://www.herve-thouzard.com/">http://www.herve-thouzard.com/</a>

Thanks for the link

I have looked at the module and I think it is great but I have a few problems with it which don't make it suitable.

You can't control which users can create pages as I only want a special type of user to have premission to create a user page.

Also their is no real way to have an organised system so that people can search for other users homepage.

Does anybody know of such a module like userpages but with the above features?

You have the same problems I do with it. The other problem I have is that it opens to the user's page and not an index of pages to look at with a link to create or edit one's own page. I think a search function would be easy to add, and may suggest that on Herve's forums. Only allowing particular users to use it I do not think would be difficult either. Other than that particular module, I do not know of any others that would come close to what you want.

I found another module that may work for you. You can read about it at:

You can control who makes pages using the group features for control.

Have you looked at SmartPartners or Wiwimod?

Hello,

You can control who publish pages, just restrict the module to a XOOPS group !

The module uses the XOOPS search too...

Concerning the fact to be on the index page instead of the page used to create/modify your own page, it's just a matter of link.

PS : the v2 is on the road.

bye,
Hervé

Thanks Herve! I can't wait until version 2. I don't know why I did not think of using a link. Duh!
