In 1.3.5 I know you can re-order the categories. But how do you re-order the forums below it?

Anybody know? If it isn't in the Forum admin, I have to have my developers make it.

The current version doesn't support that.

That feature is planned for the next major upgrade of the forum module, but I don't know when that will be released.

Wouldn't you be able to reorder the forums using phpMyadmin. go into the forum table and set them to a different order? I've not yet tried it but theoretically it would work right? Can anyone update us on this. I would like to reorder mine as well.

MySQL doesn't guarantee that rows will be retrieved in any particular order unless an ORDER BY clause is used in the query.

You could try dumping the bb_forums table to an .sql file, changing the order of the rows in the .sql file, and then reloading the .sql file into the database. That might work.

The proper solution is to add a forum_order column to the forums table, and add "ORDER BY forum_order" to the relevant queries in the scripts.

The feature to order forums inside a category has already been implemented in the next release, but there are a few features that are still underway and in progress. You can see the working version of the new newbb module on www.xoops2.org/modules/newbb/ , but I'm not sure when Predator and his team will release it. Checkhttp://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/project/?newbb regularly, and add your features to the list. If you have any hacks to the current newbb module, post them there as well.
