collecting email addresses for a news letter? What is the best way?

Is there an easy way to collect only the e-mail address of web visitor, so they can be added to a mail group to send them updated information?

Letting them sign up as a site user, they will need to fill out too many fields.

I just need a block, where they can type in their e-mail address and then jump to a thank you page.

Is there such a module?

Looking forward to some good suggestions.

Evennews Mailer is a module for the XOOPS 2.0.x series.

It will import you current user base and allow them to add the option to a newsletter in their profile.

An alternative option would be to use a separate script for more professional looking emails with more options. All you would have to do is provide a link.

It all depends on how you want to implement the feature.
