Please tell me... Sometimes I can be really sloooooow.

I am running 2.2.3a. I want to upgrade to the 2.2.4 patch.

What exactly do I do when it comes to the install folder? In one place I read where it eludes to my situation and appears I am suppose to upload it with everything else and leave it. Do I run it? Do I delete it after running it? ???

Another place I read where I am suppose to upload it, not run it and delete it then update my system, pm and etc.

Please de-conflict this for me/us. Thanks

same advice as given in other threads and comments.. please read em..

it is for updating the 2.2.3a full package for if you want to install fresh and not upgrade.. therefore it is not needed for updating your already installed version.

it basically turns your 2.2.3a zip package into 2.2.4.

Just follows the instructions.

Upgrade? paste 2.2.4 patch to server, not copy install directory, erase "profilefields.tmp, upgrade the 3 modules System, PM, Extends Profiles and all run fine. No error at all.


Fresh Install? apply the patch 2.2.4 to 2.2.3, and copy to the server and run install directory, and all run fine. No error at all.


But don't forget to do a backup.

Or:If you are with doubt, just install the backup(files and sql) in your Computer, and apply there the patch.
Dont forget to change the mainfile.php to your new configurations in this way.
