hi. i'm on XOOPS 2.2.3 and using the news 1.44 module.

when i insert images using the image manager, and set the align properties, the image does not appear (in IE).

if no align property is set, the image appears.

fix?

hhttp://attitudesforeducation.com/new/modules/news/article.php?storyid=2

that's the site. there is an image set to align to the right. you can see the space for the image cuz the text wraps. but the image wont' appear in IE. Mozilla is fine. When i preview the story, it appears as well.

also, if i view the print version of the story or the PDF version the image appears...

Not sure what the deal is with this.

can you see the image here?

i have to appologize. i was playing with the module some more and i uninstalled the module...

i've discovered something else.

if i insert the image with the align propery and NO TEXT, the image appears.

When text is added, the problems start. the image will actually disappear based on the number of text lines!

ie. if there is 1 line of text, that amount of vertical space disappears from the image.

please see the link below for a demonstration. you will see that the heads in this image have been cropped out.

so, when i insert a paragraph, the image disappears. like i said, this is only in IE. you can actually right click over where the image should be and you can see the Save Picture As... option. you can save it, and the image will appear in any graphics program.

i won't remove the module this time!

here's a new link:

also, anyone know why a period appears at the end of any email address i put onto the website?

to see what i mean, go to the Contact Us module. you will see a period at the end of the email. I did not put this. this happens across all pages.

It looks as if I have a simular if not same problem using the latest version of smartsection. I didn't catch this until earlier this evening. I will have to be more careful, but right now that doesn't help. What to do?

98% of my users for my site will use IE.

Everyone at my company is required to use IE while at work. Thats well over 30,000 users. If I do anything for work it must look good in IE. FF is not an option. :(

my site http://www.sbe38.org

I wonder if others are dealing with this too?

Ok....

If I use XOOPS image manager the image will display correctly in IE. I have several articles to correct, and if all works I'll post, there is still a mystery to be worked out.

yeah i'm using the XOOPS image manager for News module images.

it's the only module i'm using so far that is affected by this. blocks and the articles module seems ok.
