Upgraded to 2.2 and everything seemed to be going well. Started getting e-mails that new users can not register with the site and they are getting:

No valid security token found in session

I have tried registering myself and I get the same error. I have scoured the forums, but can't find anything that covers this. I have updated the system module and all templates, the problem still persists.

Well I have checked the forums and website several times. I have found other people reference a problem with this security token, but none of those resolutions seem to be working for me.

Any ideas?

Still no luck finding any information on this. I did notice that I only mentioned upgrading to 2.2, to be more exact I upgraded to 2.2.2 I haven't tried the jump to 2.2.3 as I am under the impression it is not stable, but I am not real sure 2.2.2 is stable.

What FTP software did u use to install XOOPS file?

I found that in my case issue was with FTP client. I was converting file names to lowercase. As a result XOOPS 2.2.2 was not working correctly.

Try to use leapftp or similar

Add me to the list at fulldisklosure.org

Did not FTP. used the filemanager within cpanel.

some users cannot login and we cannot find a common pattern.

Not receiving email confirmation with new users and if the password length is set to 3, it will not allow a 5 character alpha-only password even though it WILL allow "123"...

I found users cannot register with IE but can with Firefox, so i instructed them to lower privacy settings to low and then they could register fine, not sure if this is the problem that you guys are having but might be worth a try

I am using Mozilla 1.7.12 and Zone Alarm.

When I first tried to register at your site it didn't work, so I followed your Zone Alarm instruction for http://triviaarena.com/

The second time I tried to register it didn't word, so I double checked my Zone Alarm settings for http://triviaarena.com/ and they were set according to your instructions.

Then I found triviaarena.no-ip.com was in my Zone Alarm history. I set that to your Zone Alarm setting and the registration worked.

Hope that helps.
