Can anyone give me some help onhow I should setup TortoiseCVS to retrieve the repository, like maybe a screen shot or two of the setup?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm new to CVS and would like to get into nightly builds.

Please feel free to send a PM in case this topic gets bumped.

Not 100% sure myself, but maybe this Text Tutorial will help.

I'm just trying to gain anonymous access so I can download the nightly build but I can't. I've tried everything on the sourceforge pages and then some.

The link you provided assumes you have SSH access, which I don't since I am not a part of the build team.

I get this error:

cvs.exe checkout: Empty password used - try 'cvs login' with a real password

cvs server: cannot find module `xoops' - ignored
cvs.exe [checkout aborted]: cannot expand modules

I have tried everything I can think of and I am clearly missing somehting here.

create a folder on your drive

right click and then select checkout (the preferences screen will then appear)

enter in fields as in the pic..

Resized Image

then click revision (if you want the 2.1.1 branch)

and enter as this pic.

you might have to click the fetch list button..

and then select the 2_1_branch_new

Resized Image

that's how mine is setup anyhow..

rest of settings are as default tortoise install..
