How long do the "New Post" tags last in Newbb?

My reason for asking is that the New post tag is still showing next to posts that were made three days ago, even after I've made a point of visiting each post in turn so it knows I've read them.

As soon as you have read it, it should change. Try checking your cache settings.

I just checked in the admin prefs and all the caches are set to "no cache". is that right?

Stil need some pointers on this as the "new Post" icons are still showing after 4 days. :(

That information is stored in cookies. Maybe your cookies are messed up, or not getting updated for some reason.

Ok, well I just set cookies to be allowed for that session only in my web site but it still hasn't made any difference. :(

The cookies need to be permanent, if you want them to "remember" which posts you've read.

ok, well that's how i had it set b4 but it didn't make any difference. Guess i'll just have to live with it, lol.
