How to extend registration form?

Hi ,

I am using XOOPS for a match site. I would like to extend the regform with more select and text and check boxes. I hope aleast some of you have tried it. Can any one here show me a approach/way to do it?. which file to edit?. how to insert and where to look for the insert statements. please any one guie here to move faster.

It's not easily done in 2.0.7.3 without a lot of hacking, but 2.2 is supposed to support this kind of thing nicely.

the term "2.2" is possibly refering to a future version of XOOPS in the XOOPS road map, i'm not sure, but it would appear that way and if so then no 2.2 is not yet available but will be in the near future .

2.2 is the next planned major stable release of XOOPS. There might be a 2.0.9 for instance, if there is a crucial bug fix required or something. But the next "big" release, with lots of new features, will be 2.2 (2.1 will be the testing/beta version of 2.2).

so, is that the way the version numbering works with xoops??......odd numbers are beta and even numbers are full releases??

Uhm, try Koudoshi's port of Invision Power Board Module 2.0.
(http://www.bbpixel.com) It takes over registeration, and you can add custom fields.
