Is there anything like a module that acknowledges members birthdays or anything like it?

For XOOPS 2.1 I believe they promised us customised userfields. So you could add a birthday field for every user. Then it should be simple to write a custom block for it..
But I haven't heard of a birthday module so far. Offcourse you can use some calendar module :)

It would be simple if everybody could add their birthday in their user info and then you just make a block that pops up when someone has a birthday..


Also, I've seen some homepages that has a "historic events" script.. "this date year 1674 this person did this, etc".. That would perhaps be a nice module? =)
