hello. i am diving into the excitement of upgrading my intranet server. i'm upgrading the entire OS, moving from mandrake 8.1 to redhat 9.1 which includes upgrading XOOPS from 1.3.9 to 2.0.5
i've tried testing a complete site upgrade by importing the 1.3.9 database to 2.0.5 and it didn't work out nicely.
so the path i will take is to manually import the tables i think are important. so i tried importing the xoops_stories table to save existing news articles. but, i received the following error:
INSERT INTO i2_stories
VALUES ( 2, 1, 'Modified Intranet', 1039799179, 1042551539, 1044279226, '126.1.3.75', 0, 0, 'REGISTER HERE\r\n\r\nNOTE: If you do not have a City email address, call me at 360-8529 and let me know so that i can manually create your Intranet account.\r\n\r\nYou\'re all gonna hate me, but you\'ll have to re-register your accounts. Use the same method as before, using the underscore ( _ ) to separate your first and last names. For example, Andy_Yu .\r\n\r\nBe sure to check your email after registering to activate your account. Call me if you do not have an Email account.\r\n\r\nYou will notice that alot of items seem missing and alot of features are gone. Register and sign in and see what happens! \r\n\r\nAfter you sign in, click HERE and fill out your info.\r\n\r\nREGISTER HERE\r\n\r\nExt. 529 if you have problems.\r\nPost your comments in the forum.\r\n\r\n\r\n ', '', 35, 2, 0, 0, 'user', 1, 'R' )

Column count doesn't match value count at row 1 i guess there are some differences between the tables.
i also wish to import the user accounts table to try to preserver account logins and passwords. are there things i should be aware of before proceeding?
thanks for the support and great system. another unit of my organization wishes for a intranet of their own, and guess what's gonna handle that!!!
