my hoster just changed the suhosin.post.max_vars to 1024 but did not change the one for request.max_vars which is still at 200. the get.max_vars is 100. so i still face the same problem. i have already requested them to change the request.max_vars to 1024. so will keeping the get.max_vars at 100 fine or should it also be increased? thanks

Post and request are the ones to be augmented.
Get is fine with 100.

ok they changed already and now can save changes in the category permissions which is ok i think coz users can now download files. however for file permissions it still can't save changes. but these files are under the categories which are all checked so it should be ok. i guess. thanks for your help and advice!
