i suspect that these files were probably deleted when the web host server crashed. i tried other files not accessible and they are there in that folder with not access. we might need to look into the scripts. but i know that the files are still there coz the file size is still showing. usually if the file is not there anymore the file size will be zero.

We get broken links for some files uploaded into the database during a period of time. however the files in cPanel are in this directory: /home/asianfi/public_html/modules/wfdownloads/uploads/notaccess/gawuag/

How do I revert it to make these files accessible for download again? If you go to this link (http://www.asianfisheriessociety.org/modules/wfdownloads/singlefile.php?cid=1&lid=897) and click download, this error message will appear

the webhost said that they could not do anything.

Thanks for any help.

thanks for this info. i will try the modules.

as for the tracking, what i mean is this: as the one handling the different life stages of the articles, we would like the authors to see what stage their articles are now in. so that means i have to update it and they can access it through their user id's. similar to those postal tracking system i guess.

I need to add new modules to an already designed site. Where do I find these modules and what do I do with them after downloading them from the XOOPS site? The new modules I need are:
1. E-newsletter: to post e-newsletter files in pdf
2. Contact us: for contact information
3. Article tracking for e-journal: where authors can track the status of their articles

Thanks for any info

I would like to know if there is a way to set-up a tracking of documents or articles submitted to us but they are not uploaded to the website yet. Our authors would want to see the status of their articles. From the time the articles are submitted they go through several stages such as being reviewed, then returned to them for improvement, then review, accepted, edited, layouting, proofing, correcting, then published. Can we do this in XOOPS wherein we enter these info and the authors can check the status of their manuscripts regularly until published?

ok they changed already and now can save changes in the category permissions which is ok i think coz users can now download files. however for file permissions it still can't save changes. but these files are under the categories which are all checked so it should be ok. i guess. thanks for your help and advice!
