I downloaded and installed it, but I only get a blank page when trying to access either admin or main pages. The page source is empty. Other XOOPS modules work OK. Any idea why nothing comes up at all?

Thanks fro the reply!
I did that and made sure all groups had access to the module and the blocks. I can see the calendar correctly if I click it from the minical block (modules/agendax/index.php?op=cal&month=2&year=2004)
but not from the menu link (modules/agendax/), which still gives me a completely empty page.

ok the full path should be something like

http://www.yoursite.com/modules/agendax/index.php

TREy accessing it that way.

still no?
Check your system admin/templates....
make sure nothing is waiting to be generated....for agendax
uhm...thats all I can think of at the moment...

don't know why ...but none of the blocks appear as I..uh "tell them to", with the exception of the minical block which displays...

images from my root (which I dont like), easily fixed however...

and the clendar doesn't link to the events...
(is this because when there is more then one event?)

I suspect its the dynamic date picker and its relationship with minical...

(whew)
OK, I have had about enough (for now) of both these modules PICAL and Agendax...you all have given us much to work with..thanks.

Im posting on this forum...the XOOPS forum because:
A) the modules have been made accessable here
b)the support forums on developer sites are not so current.
c)If made accesible here, then we should also share answers here...

So anyone else willing to test these puppies out give it a whirl!

-thanks devs...

The full path also fails, unless I add parameters to it, like "?op=cal&month=2&year=2004". I suspect that index.php page simple requires arguments, but the menu link doesn't provide any.

I don't see anything out of the ordinary in the admin templates page. I tried deleting the cache files in the templates_c dir, no change.

What does accessing the "Agenda-X" item on the main menu do for you?

I've been experiencing the same difficulty getting the blocks to show up that you have. Minical show, but adds the admin logo, the others don't appear at all. I've checked perms quite thoroughly.

Hopefully there will be a beta 2 soon that we can bang on some more. Ain't bug hunting fun

wjue,

I really like the work you've done with Agenda-X. I'm looking forward to using it on my sites in the near future.

I have a request. Would you consider pulling out the hard-coded table prefixes and make a "module level" prefix. For ex, change this:

"where approved='1' and ".XOOPS_DB_PREFIX."_agendax_events.cat='$id' order by date ASC";

to:

"where approved='1' and ".AGENDAX_DB_PREFIX."agendax_events.cat='$id' order by date ASC";

And then set AGENDAX_DB_PREFIX = XOOPS_DB_PREFIX."_"; in the setup file.

This would allow me to create a single database instance of Agenda-X (by setting AGENDAX_DB_PREFIX to a fixed string) and have it shared across multiple XOOPS sites (all in a single database, but with different prefixes). I want to run multiple independent sites with a shared "Calendar of Upcoming Events". I just did this with tinyCal, but I like the features of Agenda-X. I can make this hack myself, but it seems like it could be generally useful, so I am making the request to you.

Well, the idea seems interesting...
