I run a site at www.thedevildogs.org and new users with IE7 have been telling me they cant register on the site. i decided to see for myself and in fact you can not register using it.

When you click on register it takes you to the form. Once you click on accept and submit at the bottom you are taken to a white screen and nothing ever comes up. Does anyone have any idea what would cause this? Every other browser I have used is working fine at the site.

Its a serious problems since so many people are using IE7.

Re: Xoops 2.0.16 and IE7 user issues

Does it work with IE6?
I will try to register and see if it accepts my IE6 browser.
________
EDIT:
Blank white page in IE6 also, I just checked it.
Can you use the default XOOPS theme and see if that makes a difference?
BTW: nice looking theme I hope it is not the browser problem.
________
IF you will select the XOOPS default theme I will try the registration again to help you trouble shoot if that is the problem.

I believe the theme is not quite ready for prime time.
you need to get with the makers at dynamicdrive.com for a solution.

Good work, BS (<---- this is supposed to be humorous!)

Sounds like something local to the site in question - if ot was IE7/6 related we'd all have problems

I find it very humorous, but I may have to change my name to GreenSleeves in order to satisfy some with an aversion to my BlueStockings BS.

1 BS off forum with last post
2 theme has nearly a year of working well so the "not ready" doesn't aply here...i think i would have heard of this in days after the news was posted HERE
3 If a theme will break a XOOPS site it would do it from the first page viewed with that theme
4 for a theme to break a XOOPS site on a certain page it would have to be a conflict of scripts with XOOPS module's pages (templates if you will) and since there is no other thing on a reg form thats highly unlikely.
5 as i tried several registration on different sites that uses the theme both XOOPS 2.2.x & XOOPS 2.0.16 i would say its an issue with the XOOPS instalation this user has

As theme was released free loong time ago, one can do about anything he/she wants to it as there is no license to the theme.

This is where i got the code that you quoted in an early post, as the admins kindly shared it at that time:

http://www.wow-esp.com/

same code can be found in them Crusade_K i've done later and posted as a news article HERE

Still no issue about braking a XOOPS site or problems with registration or whatever other problem a theme might cause

Just to clarify, I didn't say it was theme issue - I said:
