My polls block disappeared.

Here is what I checked:
Blocks administration: Visible, right side, order: 1
Groups (webmasters): Module admin rights: checked, Module access rights: checked, Blocks access rights (on the right side): checked.
Modules administration: Active: checked, Order: 1.
Polls block: the poll is active, expiration date is 2004-07-25 23:17:12, display in block: checked, display order: 1.

(current date on the machine is 2004-07-13 15:52:16)

Yes, I am webmaster on the site

The block was visible for about 2-3 weeks, people voted and all, so it is not my imagination.

I tried deleting everything in templates_c, updating the module, moving the location on the page of the block, nothing.

It is invisible.

I turned on block debugging, didn't find any reference to polls block.

What do I miss?

The site is dune.servint.com/newsite/html/index.php

Well seems you covered most of what i would try ...

Last things i´d give a try:

- switch theme to test if its visible in another theme
- backup db - uninstall module - reupload the poll module files - install poll module again

Otherwise ... no clue :(

Ah one more thing: if you clear templates_c: Does the file
????xoopspoll_block_poll.html gets generated again?

Re: Polls block disappeared

turn php debugging on, then see if pages with that block show any errors (might be at the bottom of the page)

* Also could not access your site (got a 403 Forbidden message)

Longshot...did you check which pages/modules the polls block is set to display on ?

Allright.

First of all, the poll files in templates_c are generated.
Second, polls should be visible on the top page (defined in block administration).
Third, the reason you couldn't look at the site is probably because you didn't add index.php at the end. I haven't reconfigured apache to work with php files as default, yet.

I've looked at debug info before, didn't see any errors.

Ok, I figured it out.

Apparently, in my struggle to change index.php to display some content, I've misused it and forgot to add something like
$xoopsOption['show_cblock'] =1;
or
$xoopsOption['show_rblock'] =1;
don't know which one. Anyway, both of them in, and I have my polls block back working.

Thank you!
