i have XOOPS 2.06, and i've installed myads, the jp version because someone said thats what they used, but i keep getting an error, the page is blank and all it says is Error. i've done this

- modify rights for /images_ann/ to CHMOD 777
- modify rights for config.php and /cache/ to CHMOD 666

thats all it says in the readme.txt, can anyone help. thanks.

I did the same thing with the english file. Same error. Other people said they have got this mod to work, but I'm having the same problem you are. I don't know.

I did a bit of work on MyAds V2 the other day, just improving the translation of the language files a bit. It runs on my site (2.0.7) without a hitch (well, as far as I know - nobody has actually placed an ad yet :) If you want to try it:

Download MyAds 2 (improved English translation)

As far as I can remember there was nothing tricky about installing this one, just CHMOD the two directories you mentioned before. Note this is version 2, *not* the latest and greatest one.

If any Bangkok residents want to try and flog their old smartphone or PDA to the masses, please feel free to use my site

I uploaded your version. And changed the rights, still no luck. same message , "error"

I did notice however, I have a long list of myads modules in the module install section. That wasn't there before. Except there is some text around that says no modules or something. I also went into the catagories section again, and tried to add a catagory. But when I add a catagory, it never shows up. Something must be screwy in my install. Would you mind taking a look in my admin section, see if you can see anything. thanx

Your a champ Madfish. I would like to learn some skills someday so I can make this stuff better also. Do you have that new updated package. I want to build a classified site like craigslist.org, only 10 times better.

Hi,

How do i remove the 'rich text editor' from myads.

I installed the module and have it running in 2.0.7 but don't need this feature on user submit.

I looked at some of your sites and don't see the RTE in your sites but have the RTE on my site.

I have the same problem !

I have first installed "agendaX" - no problem
when i installed "myads" nothing worked !!!

There is a conflict in the "modinfo.php"
I am not sure what the problem is or how to correct this !

Can som PHP-guru look in to this ?
