I found out the problem: I downloaded the wrong version to begin with. Or should I say, they had the wrong version available for download. The latest version also has an Admin section where you can delete posts etc. Oh well, more work for me!

OK it's submitted for download here at Xoops, also available at http://www.bassmanthemes.x8r.com - BETA version only.

Everything on the "left" side shows up fine, including Europe *g*. It's only Australia and New Zealand where I can't see the messages in Opera 7.52

out of curiosity...would it be posible to make this country/region specific? i haven't downloaded the module yet...but the map itself...editable to suit geographical needs?

Sure, just replace the map file in the module folder - it's called map.gif. i think it would have to be a similar size, and called map.gif, otherwise tou would have to change the image name in the script.
I'm hoping you'll be able to select different maps in a future release.

Not yet. I'll have to get back into it soon, i've been sorta sidelined with other things lately :(
