Usually, if I want to track how many times someone has visited a link, I have to install and use an outside program. Is this something that could be done with a module in Xoops? It would only be used by the administrator but it would allow us to input a link and then track the clicks on that link. Make sense?

Would love to hear from others if this would be useful.

Do a search for phpstats or pphlogger modules. I believe they're out there, doing what you say it should do But you can also add a simple page counter to the page you want to check

Well, I can always see what the count is on any page - however, I have advertisers on my site. I would like to link track particular links on my site. I will probably just add a link tracker - just thought it might be a good thing to add. Maybe a stand-alone would work the best.

Thanks, Herko for your input!

I use PHP-Stats and it has both download and link click tracking. It does not report impressions though so you are not able to calculate CTR or anything.
