Autologin hack xoops 2.07 with IPB 1.4?

Hi people ^_^.

As it seems that bbpixel is down (for the moment), I'd like to request your help!

I've installed koudanshi's ipb 1.4 on my XOOPS 2.07. That's oki. I wanted that people always stay logged, so I tried the autologin hack... But I get a blank page when replacing those files "checklogin.php" and "common.php" in the include folder...

Is there a person who know how I can get it working?

Actually, it's a pain to have to login each time...

yep ur in luck..

the reason it doesn't work with the autologin hack is that ipb replaces XOOPS core files and by applying gijoes hack you are basically overwriting the ipb files..

i have however redone the ipb 1.4d core files so that they work with 2.0.7

then u can use the autologin thats built into ipbm 1.4

download, unzip and copy the files in this zip to your root XOOPS folder (overwriting existing) remember to make a backup 1st

then goto XOOPS admnin and update the system module, u may want to clear templates_c too after so that the login block is updated..

Thanks m0nty. Actually, I installed your files yesterday and tried it, but I didn't clear templates_c, maybe that's why I didn't notice a difference!

I'll try it again! I'll tell you if it works.

if the login block has rememberme and anonymous tickboxes it has updated ok :)

u need custom session enabled in XOOPS admin preferences for anonymous to work tho.

and it may not work correctly if users login from the ipb login screen itself, altho it may have been fixed.. but it shud work 100% if they login from the login block.. hope this helps..

I tried several times to update system module and also to delete the content of template_c but I don't have a new login block with the tickboxes you said ;-( ...

I don't know what is wrong... I'll try it again later cause I must go now...

Oki, it seems to work now... Thanks to your website ^o^ (yes, actually, it didn't work when I tried so I looked at your code, copy your login block template and then, it worked... Strange, but true (let's see if I'll still be logged tomorrow!).

By the way, what about the XOOPS custom session? Do I need it or not?

:) my website? lol well that's 1 way of doing it i guess.. i been working on my site all day.. at least it seems to be working then :)

You need XOOPS custom session enabled for anonymous login to work, but it isn't necessary for the autologin..

Oki ^_^. Thanks again for your reply monty ;). About your website, I just took the lines for the "login block", not your whole site, haha (I think there was something wrong with mine, maybe with the values sent by the form?).
