Fixed bug #898776: XOOPS module resolution for http://www.host.com and host.com (wulff_dk)

Just noticed that if you had set your URL to domain.com in the mainfile and if you tried to login via http://www.domain.com/user.php, you would end up with no admin menu after the login.

While using the previous trick by wulff_dk

yoursite.com vs www.yoursite.com

has no such effect.

i suppose the easiest way to get round this is as i did on my site..

i installed using http://www.domain.co.uk

i then setup in my control panel for the server..

http://www.domain.com this will redirect to http://www.domain.co.uk

domain.co.uk redirects to http://www.domain.co.uk
domain.com redirects to http://www.domain.co.uk

of course you can do these anyway round if u wish..

that way it makes no difference what url a user types, they will always be redirected to the http://www.domain.co.uk address by using the dns settings..

on my previous site b4 changing to xoops.. i had my forum at forum.domain.com

so i created this in my new server host control panel and setup a redirect to point to (forum.domain.com) redirects to http://www.domain.co.uk/modules/ipboard

this way any1 still using the forum.domain url can still reach the forum with it..

m0nty:

I do not have any problems using both http://www.domain.com and domain.com as URLs. Both will reach my site.

The bug I am reporting:

if I were to login with 2.0.7 via http://www.domain.com/user.php while domain.com is the URL in my mainfile, I would login WITHOUT the admin menu. I would have the admin menu if login via domain.com/user.php

This is NOT the case with previous hack.
