how can i change the layout of the By topic mode header to look like this

(NEWS TOPIC) : ( NEWS TITLE)

news news..........



also which file should i delete in template_c in order to have classic mode working?

Delete everything in /templates_c

I really don't know if that quick fix really works. What worked for me was to change to the default template and then clone again. I was no big deal for me, but might be a hassle for others depending on how extensive the modifications made to their own templates. Of course I did all this figuring out before it (News 1.2) was released, so I don'tknow; it may work again.

when using by topic mode
i set to 2 columns

the news look very messy in my theme...
i am using Zaja-X

anyone got a i can see which fix the problem?

What do you mean by messy? Do you mean that the columns aren't of equal length? Can you post a link?
