Relevant MySQL queries:
CHECK TABLE xoops_priv_msgs
REPAIR TABLE xoops_priv_msgs

Use phpMyAdmin or an equivalent method to perform these operations.

While you're at it, check all the other tables too.

Alright, I figured out what the phpMyAdmin thing is and looked at the xoops_priv_msgs. When I go to operations it says:

----------------------------------------
Can't open file: 'xoops_priv_msgs.MYD'. (errno: 145)

Notice: Undefined variable: error_url in /var/www/html/phpMyAdmin-2.3.2/tbl_properties_operations.php on line 41

Error

SQL-query :

SHOW COLUMNS FROM `xoops_priv_msgs` FROM `bondsscheidsrechter_nl_-_xoops`

MySQL said:

Can't open file: 'xoops_priv_msgs.MYD'. (errno: 145)
----------------------------------------

So where do I check or change anything?

Ouch! Check this page at MySQL.com, then call your tech support. It's some sort of MYsqlData file corruption

Guido:

Error 145 usually means the table needs to be repaired.

With phpMyAdmin, it's easy to check and repair tables. From the page that lists all the tables, select the checkbox for the xoops_priv_msgs table on the left, and then in the menu at the bottom, select "With selected: Check table", and then "With selected: Repair table".

Does that help?

You might as well check all the tables while you're there. You may want to do the Analyze and Optimize operations too.

Just posting some info for others to ponder over, I"m not sure how to fix it myself, except to restroe the db from backup.

The error I saw is:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/virtual/site55/fst/var/www/html/kernel/configitem.php on line 286

Heres the code it's refering to in configitem.php:
$sql = 'SELECT * FROM '.$this->db->prefix('config');

Spoke my host on the phone yesterday. He told me that the tables were all messed up and that he had tried to restore a backup from the day before yesterday, but it didn't work. He suggests that I re-install the whole XOOPS system and he will try to restore the backup after that. Is this a good idea?

install XOOPS in a subsite.
once the backup finished, change the subsite to your main site xoops

My website is back online now, working fine, except for one last thing:
The WFsection data is gone. Well not realy gone because in the 'Manage articles' area I can see all of them. But the categories are gone so the site can't show the articles. Is there any way to restore the categories from my backup?
Thanks again for all your help, guys!
