Does anyone have a theme with no left column on the home page - I have tried to remove all blocks on the left but unlike the right column - the column still remains in place.

Hope you can help

Regards

Tony

I made one with just a right column. (Don't have the source code here and it is still not on a public server....)

You probably only need to go into the main html template and remove the left column completly....

Mine actually has the column surrounded by an if. I can't remember the exact test but it is something like leftblock=1.

I'll look it up later i fnoone post up before then.

Re: No Left Column?

usually, themes have a fixed left block, whereas center and right blocks are checked for content before allocating space for it.

in your theme.html, put a
<{if $xoops_lblocks}>

<{/if}>

around the section looping through the left blocks.

If you can find it, the Redhat theme uses a horizontal navigation bar with no left column. I was able to put together a site using that theme that had no side columns at all.

I'll check my collection and see if I still have it.

Edit: Ah, here we go... right in the themes repository.
