Here's a security feature i need.
Is there anyway i can know whats the user's IP?

can all this be logged?

UserA : 202.199.0.1
UserB : 202.199.5.3

and the list goes on and on..
I am trying to track down a user which keeps coming back and spam the site. But i have no idea what his ip is.

Now the only way i know is click on MORE on who's online while he is online. But most times i wasn't online.

So anyone? help?

the only problem with that is, unless the user has a static IP then the ban won't stop him.. if you ban the full ip range of his isp, then u may inadvertently stop any other users that also use that isp from using your site too..

even if he has a fixed IP, he could also still go via a proxy aswell which would get round the ip ban completely.. the only other way is to ban the users email, and set to admin approve or moderate (queue them b4 they posted) new users posts for a week or so..

it all depends on the knowledge the user has..

hhmm.. i assume that user is a retart cuz he only post retarted porn pics..

I usually notice he logs in during office hours. So again i assume he's using company's computer.

If he access the site through the company LAN. does tat mean he got fixed IP ?

that way.. i can ban him for good. including email address and everything else.

also about banning the email address..
if i put something like xxx@lycos.com

will all lycos users be affected?

well you can trace (just click on ip) to the extent that you could find out who the isp is and then place an email abuse@.... which is usually provided. if you are able to discern the problem ip from details as in image above, you could ban.
