I agree with Catscity that there is too much on the front page, which makes a user wonder, what kind of website he is on.
New members, top posters, your favourite links, refer a friend, site info, who's online.... maybe not all of those are useful for an anonymous user?
waiting contents is of no use whatsoever to anybody but moderators/webmasters and should not be visible to normal and anonymous users (my opinion)
The general layout is fine and you do a good job dividing blocks over all three columns, but I am simply overloaded with information - half of which is not really useful to me.
