Everything seemed to be going fine with his development of the new beta version of WF-Sections v2...then I log onto his site:http://wfsections.xoops2.com/ and I see this:

Quote:
I am no longer supporting or wish to remain as a member of Xoops. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me over the last two years. Thank you Catz

.
This can´t be true. I refuse to believe it!

It would seem odd because considering his lastest work and initiative be a very rapid made decision. Maybe someone hacked his account and is playing a sick joke on us?

I hope it's only a joke. It's a mean one if it is one though....

Good luck Catz, in all that you do! You have been a staple of this community for a long time, you will be missed!

So who's going to pick up where Catzwolf left off? It would be a shame to see a such a good module go away completly.

Stewdio:

Do you have more than this notice on his website in this matter?

I´m not asking that you tell us what happened. Even if you know - but instead a simple yes or no that due to any other sources you can just confirm this is for real?

I think it is real, because Catz is nobody who makes jokes in this area. But somebody who is more involved in this special case has to tell us the reason for his break with Xoops.

I am new to the XOOPS Community, but it is clear that Catz has made a huge impact with the WF brand, especially with WF-Sections.

I had already decided to use the almost-released version 2 for my first XOOPS site because it is the only module I've seen that will even come close to doing what I want. Thank you Catz for your work.

Anyway, the only good reason to ask why is in the effort to influence him to change his mind. Otherwise, we should respect his wishes and wish him luck.

That said, please reconsider Catz.

WF Sections was possibly the only existing module that would do what a new commercial site of mine needed - and with his leaving XOOPS - I will have to abandon it :(
