I've been using the Koudanshi module hack for IBP to XOOPS and it has a click on to remove side menus and fill the screen below the header with the IBP board.

Currently the site I'm working on will be better suited for the Newbb than the IBP. Matching themes is an important issue, and matching up IBP with XOOPS is a chore.

I'd appreciate some links or something...

perhaps a theme designer may have a theme that is good for this, but here is a method I had stored from helping someone in a previous post.

To have Newbb to fill the page, you take out all the all the left and right blocks that show in newbb, you must ensure you have no blocks showing in "All Pages"

But with most theme structures you are left with a wide empty table to the left, where the left block should be.

To remove this you need to add an IF command in your theme.html, like this example:
