I have just moved site to a new server. The site works perfectly using the temporary address which has been used throughout the modules etc. Problem is my domain name is not resolving the ip address. 11 days after ns. inputs! The hosting company keeps telling me the site is resolved, but clearly there are problems. Calling a resolved domain of
http://houseofstrauss.co.uk/modules/mydownloads/ returns a blank page, whereas using my temp address prefix http://66.194.238.158/~houseof/modules/mydownloads/ works fine. You will see that all my links have temp ip addresses

Can anyone tell me where the problem is??

Many thanks, Richard

I had a similiar problem. It was related to my local host not updated something or other, but finally it did.

I just tried your houseofstrauss.co.uk and found it
nice site by the way.

but I did notice that the address is http://66.194.238.158/~houseof/

Hello Carnuke, sites looking well..:)

can you turn on phpdebug for your blank pages? The domain is resolved because your root page is working

I assume you have redefined your paths in mainfile.php? (silly question)

Thanks Kevin for that,

I've set up several sites using a temp address and when the domain resolves, they are replaced. This is not happening here. The latest report from my host states that "the domain has resolved correctly and that my links are wrong, also something in the cms script is preventing them changeing"

Is this possible? if so how should I write my urls?

My paths in mainfile.php will have the temp address in them The site was loaded before My domain name was transferred. I think they should be interchangeable??

hard to say if they are interchangeable, sounds like they should, try changing them to the real address?

Virtual path was still at my temp address. They are not interchangeable.

Thanks, You made my day
