Putting 'Who's Online' block content in header???

How do I put the who's online code in the header of my theme.html document?

I'd like the Who's Online block content to go just under my header in a straight line.

So instead of:

Quote:
80 user(s) are online

Anonymous: 0
Members: 5
Guests: 75
booth, more...


In a side-block, I'd like:

Quote:
80 user(s) are online, 75 Guests & 5 Members - meme, Martina, selwyn, Booth, cmatt, more...


In my header. Anyone know what code to dump into my theme.html file to get this to work?

I'm sure some of you hard-core Xoopsers out there must now how to put the who's online content in the theme.html file so it shows in the header...

This sounds like an interesting idea...

As a suggestion - have you tried checking out the coding of the "who's online" block and adding it to the top of the theme.html page?

Only problem I could see is if you have a lot of names - it could have a bad effect on the layout....

Perhaps just the:

Ok - what have we got in the who's online block.....

<{$block.online_total}> (xx User(s) are online)

<{$block.lang_members}>: <{$block.online_members}>
(Members : xxx)

<{$block.lang_guests}>: <{$block.online_guests}
(Guests : xxx)

Lines - and missing those reffering to the online names?

Just cutting and pasting the code from the block doesn't work.

It wouldn't cause a problem with layout if you had lots of names if you gave it a small font plus made sure that the names would wrap and not cause scrollbars.

There must be someone out there who knows what code to change/rip from that who's online block and what code to add to make it all work. I'd far prefer this to having it in a sideblock

not entirely sure.. but what david said may work eventually..

but i maybe on the wrong track here..

but wouldn't u need some kind of call function?

ie when the blocks are used, you have themeblockleft.html for example

and in that html you have this >
<{$block.content}>


i maybe way out here but u might need something similar

i dunno have a play if it sends u in the right direction it's a start or it maybe completely in the wrong direction..
