I have been trying to change the XOOPS link in the bottom frame to another website, but wihtout succes. At the moment I did manage to place content there to replace the grey XOOPS bar, but I can't find the right place to change the link.

Please look at the site http://www.virtual-communities.com to understand my problem. Scroll all the way down and roll-over the word "disclaimer".

Think you can alter that via >> system >> prefences >> Meta tags and footer for memory

Thank you for your tip. I had already tried that, but it did not have any effect, sadly. I don't understand why btw, you'dd think that would be it.

marcdg:

This one is easy. Change the TR labeled "footerbar" in your theme file. There's the link.

Cheers.

Strangely enough, this doesn't do the trick eather. I looked in my theme file at the "footerbar" and the following was there:

<tr id="footerbar">

<td><a href="http://www.jeroen.com" target="_blank"><img src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>poweredby.gif" alt="" border="0" /></a></td>
</tr>

So it seems I already did this in the past. Meanwhile, the link to XOOPS is still active on my page...

Have you cleaned out cache and templates_c ?? If the link is off an image, it may be still hanging around in these.

This is good practice occasionally anyway

It's a linked image, as you can see in the code: it's a link to the 'powered by XOOPS' image, and the link now points to Jeroen's site.

Btw, are you making a site voor Jeroen? Using XOOPS? Cool, I've worked with Jeroen on wijkwebsites.nl, so I know his interests in virtual communities.

Thank you for your tip. I changed the link in the template file and after several tries the footer now finally reffers to the correct website!

For Herko: Yes, I am making this website for Jeroen van de Wiel. This virtual community portal is my HBO graduation assingment.
