smiley & bb codes don't work in my comment section, even though both boxes are checked. Any ideas? I run XOOPS 2.0.6, which have been updated a number of times from 2.0.1.

It is the file yoursite.com/class/module.textsanitizer that translates this code. Perhaps you could try overwriting it.

yoursite.com/include contains the comments related files, perhaps overwrting them might correct any corruptions.

Worth a try anyway
