Is there any (quick) hack to add the "mark all forums/posts read" functionality in newbb, by just adding some code to the existing files instead of replacing them all?

Newbb Pro sounds good but most of us don't want to replace our newbb with a new one and make table changes. Most of us also don't need the attachment feature that meses a lot with the original newbb.

If samuels - the author of newbb pro - or someone else can post some quick hack regarding the above issue would be nice. More issues that people needs (and already exist in newbb pro) are:

- Private forums hidded to users without permission
- Delete single post

Thank you my friend... I already checked that thread before and it looks very promising, indeed. But it's not me that can't wait any longer - it's our users that are demanding that functionality.

If only there was a timeplan...

newbbpro is your best bet, no need to replace existing forum, but upgrade facility is available too.

If you want more features like "mark read" you will need more database fields anyway, these features need to be contained in extra fields in the database.

In individual forums you can disallow attachments
