Look at this php script..
Its able to show whos online in the site right now. Showing their country and IP address.

It's quite impressive but what would be the reason for anyone wanting to know that much information about where people are on the site and their ip address??? I think that it just causes security risks and doesnt respect peoples privercy.

The IP's are masked, no threat to privacy at all.

The reason I would use it is because it looks so much better

Could be something to be added into the site.. to prove that " You are not alone " in the website. With people from around the world loggin into the site.

Is this hard to implement? it uses SQL..

Any experienced XOOPS module developer could make this up no problem. Everything is there in the tutorial for db functions.
