Well, finally I managed to crash XOOPS. How did I do it?
Well I tell you. In the weblinks module I wanted to rename a category (with 2 subcategories) I was asked to give the name from the 'Older Category' and I submitted again the name from the category I wanted to rename. Mouseclick and KABOOM!. I ended up with a blank page for Web Links.

How can I restore this mess? Or have I to reinstall everything again?

On a blank page, login to your admin section, turn on php debug in system admin -> prefernces -> general settings, and report the errors in the blank page here so we can help fix it

I hereby dub this phenomenon WSOX

White screen of XOOPS

However, the big difference between WSOX and BSOD is that there is always a fixable reason for a WSOX. A BSOD is usually unexplainable and fixed only by a reboot and then wait for the next one.

BSOD related message: "An unknown error has occured" very helpful, not....

At least we can always find a reason and fix it....

WSOX=Good
BSOD=

Indeed, the wonderful world of XOOPS crashes are always a matter of minutes to explain and fix.
