Hi all,

A guy from w3.org stopped by one of my XOOPS sites and left this comment behind.

Anyone else ever recieve an equivalent honor?

" Looks like a lot of very bad code

validator.w3.org"

He's a purist, I wouldn't worry about it too much unless you want to spend countless hours validating your code. I started out nice, but after a while my site went to pot with each new addition. I've given up creating valid sqeeky clean code because not every module thats released is going to conform.

Frankly, in terms of coding, it's not beautiful
However, I dare not speak out

I doubt it's a guy from w3. Somebody from there would notice the files are automatic generated, and not just hand made. So don't bother too much of it.

And, believe me, XOOPS is quite compliment with those w3 rules comparing other cms'es around the globe.

No doubt XOOPS is, at least among the best.
But I still wanna say that some of the codes or functions could be organized better.

http://validator.w3.org/ has nothing to do with the XOOPS internal coding. It checks whether the generated HTML output is standards-compliant.

Generating HTML that passes the validator is desirable, since it increases the probability that the pages will render correctly with different browsers.
