ONe fine day.. i login my XOOPS site as usual and this happens

Fatal error: Unable to connect to database in /home/catscity/public_html/class/database/databasefactory.php on line 34

Database connection error (Which you of course know )

Check database with whatever tools you have, check the mainfile to see if that is still correct, contact your host to ask if they are doing anything.

Mine has just done the same thing too.

One second it was fine, and another I got about five Yahoo Instant Messages saying it was off. No one person caused the problem, the SQL databases are fine.

I have noticed others have the same inexplicable problem and all have posted here in the same month. The problem is in Xoops, not the users. Could it be 2.0.6 related?

I had the same problem and when i tried to access MySQL with a small test script i got:

Host 'localhost' is blocked because of many connection errors. Unblock with 'mysqladmin flush-hosts'

My host then unblocked and the site has been running fine since then (about 5 days), I changed to use persistent connectors though.

Went back to 2.0.5 and still got the same problem.

Its been ages now and still no help... anyone?
