I ws wondering if anyone here is working on an mp3 player for xoops? There is a great one called zina http://www.pancake.org/zina.html. It can be intergrated into postnuke quite easily by changing a few lines of code. Can this be intergrated into xoops. I think it would be a great addition. I am not an expert php programmer, but if anyone else would like to help me, I would appreicate it.

This could be embedded into a block or you could put it in a page with cjaycontent or put it in an html file and use tinycontent or free content to add it to your site.

If it is added into a block then would it not start the song over evertime the page was refreshed?

I forgot about this module, and have been playing around with it since your post. I used to have it with Postnuke, its a very good streamer

I have set it up a standalone, and used the framebrowser module to bring it in to Xoops, another way to go..

Using framebrowser you can specify through groups that registered users (for example) have access to it..

I have it under the "music" link Here

The look can of course be customised. If you think this is of any use let me know..

This is pretty cool, JackJ! But why do you have Diana Ross as the artist photo and Bones telling Jim that Spock's dead in the mp3 file?

The Jim telling spock he is dead comes with the default Zina install..

I have just installed it and was playing around and testing images and the pic paths, not realy a live site yet..one fine day I will get round to finishing it..

Thanks, but it is not really a XOOPS module, just looks like one, I am not a coder.

I installed Zina as a standalone program, and used a module called framebrowser converted for XOOPS (EX Postnuke). I stripped it down a bit. Users can have Zina open in its own window in the unstripped down framebrowser.

In effect Zina is just contained with a frame. Access can be blocked to Anon users through "Groups". Zina admin's just log in through the Zina programme

I cant remember where I got it..but if anyone is interested I can make framebrowser available for download at my site or whatever..

Framebrowser can be used to contain any web page, folder, website or program within a frame, and can be used more than once, for example, I am also using it to contain a free shop script I have yet to customise, ie "shopping" at my "constantly under construction" site..

Re: Adding MP3 players

I'd like the framebrowser! Just send it to me at my email address luvblue@msn.com. Unless you want to set it for download at your site. Thank you, JackJ!
