I would like to propose that XOOPS experts start a XOOPS support site for people who need help and are willing to pay a small fee for it cause I am at my wits having to wait weeks and weeks to get simple support.

This is geting ridiculous.

Max:

The logic for an efficient support is cooking, and anyone can see it's not easy to organize a way to answer quickly, correctly and precisely the sort of questions posed here and elsewhere. We're trying because the community deserves this support.

On the other hand, let's be perfectly clear about one thing. You have NOT had to wait "weeks and weeks to get simple support". You've been a registered member of this forum since november 20 --that's 15 days at most-- and in that short period you've clogged this space with 234 messages (that's an average of over 15 posts per day) demanding things in a tone that has gotten you thrown out of many places. And you HAVE received support, as anyone can see following the threads where you've asked reasonable things.

This is indeed getting ridiculous, but for different reasons.

Cheers.

yepper. That's our Max.

Show me the money! Someone must be willing to take your money if you wanted to really give it or you could ask better. Face it M, you're a fraud. Now everyone knows. It is getting more difficult to avoid bumping into those burned bridges and people you've left behind.

So "whatever" on that or however you ignore the truth. Time to move on if you can't help yourself better than this. You still don't get the idea how OS operates. The information is out there if you just look and apply the knowledge.

"you are a fraud..."

wow! how profound!

Oh, I think I understand it perfectly. It gos something like this:

The Os devs' attitude:

1. We do nice products in our view.
2. We do them for free
3. because we do the products for free you have no right to complain, ridicule or critique us
4. You cannot expect decent products because we do the best we can.
5. We would like donations, since we cannot put out products worth selling, so if you donate it would be great!
6. We don't have to provide proper documentation for our products, well, because we just don't have to because we do them for free.
7. Because our products are free we cannot be expected to be held up to any standard of quality.
8. We want to be prased and pated on the back every time we release a crapy mod/addon even if it full of bugs you have to say it is "great"
9. if you don't like it go elsewhere, and don't blame us for making our product look great while in fact it will help you waste a great deal of your precious time which you cannot possibly recover.
10. We are great, we want to help people even if we have no clue how to do it, it makes us feel god and that is what counts.
11. We don't want out products to work with other products which are not free, because we hate capitalists. We love socialism and communism! Power to the (dumb) people.
12. We are always right and we will bash anyone who dares criticize us.

That about sums it up.

Max

You know...it's amazing to me that the webmaster of this site has not banned you yet, Max. You act like a spoiled five year old. You continually bash XOOPS and say it's crap, yet still you come here and still you keep using xoops. Seems like you are just wanting attention and you're not happy when you get ignored.

Yeah, that must be it. never mind any valid points and bugs I point out. Criticising has become anathema in the world of "politically correct"

Geeee wiz. You are right, that must be it.

When the devs themselves don't know what their own mods do and put out mods they recommend I use only to find out that 3 months after the mod has been released has bany bugs and does not in fact do or work as it was sugested it does, you're damn right I will complain.

Puting out a half ass product and abandoning it is hardly helping people.

Catzwold sugested that his WF-Sections module does what I needed. I downloaded it, installed it and it not only has bugs and does not work properly but the output of the parts which do appear to work is crapy and there is no documentation for it either.

Then is has many small bugs which should be easy to fix. It has been many moons since it was released and not one of the bugs has been fixed.

So, exactly why do i not have a right to be pissed when I wasted my time on their advice only to find out the mod is practically worthless unless I have big bucks to pay someone to fix the bugs?

Bite me crumbcake. While I'm sure any donations you make are truly appreciated, it wasn't a support contract. And if you had made a support contract with me which gave you the right to bitch because you like to bitch then great but I would have by now given back all your money and never spoken again. But that is what you fear most and dare I say that profound word again... FRAUD.

Your many faces and persona's don't fool enough people. sick.

Because this isn't a democracy you FRAUD. If you can't figure out how to get the job done than do eactly that, pay big bucks to have someone write it. It happens everyday all around you, people that don't know pay someone that does to wash their socks or whatever.... Why is this such a tough notion for you the immaculate one or whoever you claim to be this year???

So fix them.

This is what you like, someone to chase you around like the puppy that keeps peeing on the floor.

Oh look, little Maxy left us a present on the rug. Isn't that cute? NO, IT ISN'T.
