Pardon me for being naive, but it's not really legal to use these comic feeds. Right?

I have read some licenses and i did not see anyone which
could be used without a fee or license, except "user friendly". But even this comic strip does not wants you to download the strips from their site.

So what perhaps this module is only usefull if you wish to pay some kind of license to the comic strip authors.

have you read the docs that come with the comics module? It's stated clearly that use is subject to licences and copyrights and on your own risk. Use of the module means you accept those terms.

You can get free comic strips to display on your site if you register with them and keep links back to them with the comics on your site. I found two comic strips that are free for webmasters to use. They can be added to your XOOPS site in a block or on a page you create with tiny content, cjay content or free content. I put mine in a block on my front page but they could be put on any page you want really.
