I applied to my 2.5.6 the latest security patch referred to here:

https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=6545

but now the site is working for the public, but after the login as administrator I get a blank page. If I reload the page, appears the home with the message Sorry, you don't have the permission to access this area.

I checked that all files of the patch are in their place on the server.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

I assume that you have PHP 5.3.7+, as this version requires it.

Try following things:

- press Ctr-F5 to clear your browser's cache
- go to your /xoops_data/cache/xxx folders and delete the files inside them, except "index.php"
- go to phpMyAdmin and empty the "sessions" table

There might be an old session still stored somewhere. Let us know if it worked for you.

The problem was the PHP version!

I was using the 5.2, after having enabled the 5.3 everything started to work again.

Thank you very much.

Did you do it the following:

Thanks Mamba, but I did it a few times. I also turned off all modules (include Profile module) and update them. I also turned off protector. I watched logfiles. Nothing ... Only "GET /user.php HTTP/1.1" 302 20 "-".

Аuthorization does not occur. If I knew the authorization mechanism ...

Perhaps there was an error when upgrading XOOPS or PHP.

I fixed this problem, just reload the installation files from Full package.

Thanks for attention.

What do you mean? Can you provide more details, so other people can follow your steps in the future, if they encounter similar issue?

I upgraded XOOPS from 2.0.18 to 2.5.6. Make appearance many different errors. Basically error modules. After 2 days of "dancing with a tambourine" (I did not keep a journal of their manipulation - it's bad) modules began to work. But authorization has become impossible (user.php returns a blank page). No debug errors, no server errors in logs ... Your advice is not helping.

Then I checked the version PHP - 5.2.14. You said - need 5.3.7 version or high. I upgrade PHP to 5.4.24. Reveal itself are new errors (I again did not keep the journal). All without result.

Then the thought came reloaded XOOPS 2.5.6 Full package. And "voilà"! Its working.

P.S. Sorry for my English.
