I worked with the Profile module and still has the same problem. When I create a custom field, I can not write data to it - not saved in the database.
Although the field is created, but can not be used. Once again I added for group permissions to write and view. It did not help.

i think there is Bug with the profile module in 2.5.5 and 2.6

i have the same problem

using the old version of profile from xoops 2.54 Ok

Hope the fix can be applied to xoops 2.5.5 & 2.6 core asap

Hi, the bug in 2.6 is different, it was due to the re-factoring of the cleanVar() method. The field_name was being inserted as 'field_name' instead of just filed_name(no quotes). When you were updating your profile, the field_name was not found.
It is fixed on 2.6 svn now, thanks!

I'm trying module for the changes, that you have made​​, but it's still not working.
Information on creating a custom field can not be added or changed.

SVN revision 10570, PHP 5.4.3, MySQL 5.1.63.

Hi,

It seems that search page in profile module doesn't work. I have always 0 result when I try a research in any case...

PHP version is 5.4.4
MYSQL version is 5.5.25
XOOPS version is 2.6.0-Alpha 3

Search doesn't successfully search on users (2.5.5 standard issue and all profile search permissions enabled). But the fact that it works on this XOOPS site leads me to think I have overlooked something.

Have you tried this with XOOPS 2.5.6? This could be a PHP 5.4.x problem. XOOPS 2.5.5 had not been tested with PHP 5.4.x before release. Mamba could probably answer this better than I. Just thought that this might jog someone's memory as to a "known problem".
