Blank Page Admin/Banners

Hi, my xoops banner stopped working as it had expired and I couldn't find where to reset the time limit on it so I deleted the client with the intent of recreating it. This was obviously the wrong thing to do as now I have a blank page when I go to admin/system/banners.

This is the error I am getting:
Fatal error: Call to a member function getVar() on a non-object in /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/modules/system/admin/banners/main.php on line 343

I tried uploading fresh files to the system module and updating it but this has not helped.

Any ideas on how I might be able to get my banner admin page back up and running?

When you are asking about how to help with an error like this please always make sure to include the following:

php version
mysql version
xoops version

and list any modules you may also have installed (More so we can check for incompatible modules than anything else.)

It is hard to help you fix what is broken for you if we are not sure what we are looking at.

Apache version 2.2.11
PHP version 5.2.9
MySQL version 5.0.92-community
XOOPS Version 2.5.0

Not sure why modules would make a difference, but in saying that I don't understand php :/

Seems like a database problem to me. It didn't handle the client deletion properly.

How are you with phpmyadmin?
a possible solution:
Make a list of cid in the _bannerclient table. Then check the _banner table to see if any of them are using a cid that doesnt from that list. and in the _banner table change that cid of that banner to one that exists in the other table.

I havn't done alot with phpmyadmin apart from backing up my database. So, do I just download the banner tables and then open them in notepad, edit them and then re-upload overwriting them?

Unfortunately, it's a bug.

When you delete the client, it doesn't delete the "finished" banner.

You'll need to

- use phpMyAdmin
- go to the _bannerfinish table
- delete the banner that did belong to the client that you've deleted

and it should be working.

I'll add this to our bugs database, so hopefully we'll fix it XOOPS 2.5.5.
