Hi,

I had problems with logging into XOOPS via admin, over a year ago now, just couldn't login. The only solution was to wipe everything and do a fresh install of 2.5

That has now been done with protector enabled, and those other xoops paths out of web root.

I used to have various modules in 2.0.18.1, and need some advice please, on what modules to use. Here are some suggestions from Feb 2010

• Liaise - 1.26 --> xForms 1.01
• Site Map - 1.30 --> ok. There is also an enchancement by Tank55
• Smartsection - 2.13 --> Publisher
• Wflinks - 1.03C --> WF-Links 1.08
• Xhld0 - 3.07 --> XHLD 3.08

The main concern for now is getting content up on the site, so is Publisher the best replacement for Smartsection ? Are those other module replacements the best options ?

I believe you make good choices (even if I don't really know WFLinks) except about xforms : this is 1.2 now.

Okay, thanks. :)

Does anyone else have any recommendations, or can confirm the module choices please ?

I suggest you use lawsuit from http://www.chronolabs.coop instead of xforms, it has htaccess short URLS and so on, it is another contact module.

Thanks. I got lots of blank pages on that site.

Try http://www.chronolabs.coop/modules/smartsection/category.php?start=15&categoryid=3 for instance

What about the module 'X-Re-aggregator' instead of XHLD ? I tried the demo, seems what I need, and XHLD and D3pipes are messy to install.

I see there are .htaccess mods for 'X-Re-aggregator' ; hopefully I don't need those, they are just SEO purposes I think, which doesn't interest me.
